BOW Hub Installation: Linux (Debian)
Installing the BOW Hub on Debian-based Linux distributions
Currently we only support the Debian family of Linux distributions, however we will be adding support for other distributions soon.
This article shows how to install and get started with the latest version of the BOW Hub for Debian.
Registering for a BOW Account
Before you can download the BOW Hub, you need to register for an account on the BOW Portal. If you already have an account, you can skip this step. To create an account, visit the BOW Portal, click on the "Register" button, and follow the instructions. Once registered, log in to your account.
Downloading the BOW Hub
Head to the BOW Portal Download Page and download the latest Ubuntu/Debian installer for the BOW Hub. The installer will only work on 64-bit systems. We do not provide support for 32-bit systems.
Install the BOW Hub
To install the BOW Hub use the following commands in your Terminal Emulator of choice:
- Navigate to the downloaded
BOW_Hub-linux_amd64-vX.X.X.XXX.deb
(assuming it is in your downloads folder).
- Install the package via APT
- Run the BOW Hub
Either inside a terminal or via your desktop environment run the BOW Hub.
Inside your Terminal Emulator run the following command:
Login to the Hub
Once installed and launched, you will receive a notification that the BOW Hub is running in the background and you can find its interface in your system tray. Find the Hub and follow the login process to authenticate yourself with the BOW Hub.
